2-component water-based Epoxy Primer
EPOXY AQUA ANTIRUST PRIMER is a two-component water-based epoxy primer used for anti-corrosion protection of metal surfaces. It provides excellent adhesion on ferrous and non-ferrous substrates and binding power prior to coating of epoxy or polyurethane top coats. It offers high hardness and abrasion and chemical resistance.
» Low shrinkage, high toughness and excellent adhesion
» Low odor
» Long working time and quick dry to touch
» Excellent resistance to water and chemicals
Brush, roller or air-gun
Dry to touch

Component Α: Gray, Component Β: Transparent
» Substrate must be dry, sound, clean, and free from oil, grease, loose material, surface contaminants and other bond-inhibiting materials. All dust and loose material must be completely removed from all surfaces before application, preferably by vacuum cleaner.
» In already painted substrates: paints must be slightly rubbed with sandpaper to ensure the proper adhesion of the primer.
» Mix each component of KRAFT EPOXY AQUA ANTIRUST PRIMER using a low-speed drill or mixer prior to combining together. Mix 3 parts of Part A with 1 part of Part B by volume. Mix with low-speed drill or mixer until uniform (typically 1.5-2.0 minutes), exercising caution to not entrain air into the product. To ensure proper cure and performance, strictly follow the mix ratio. To ensure thorough mixing pour materials into another container and mix again to achieve a consistent mix. Allow the mixed material to rest for 5–10 minutes induction time prior to application.
» EPOXY AQUA ANTIRUST PRIMER is applied on the substrate with a roller, brush or airless spraying in one layer.
» After 12-24 hours and while EPOXY AQUA ANTIRUST PRIMER is still tacky, KRAFT EPOXY AQUA PAINT can be applied.
» Tools: Roller, brush or airless spraying.
» Dilution: 5-10% with water.
» Cleaning: Immediately after use, clean the tools with soapy water, along with product residues.
» Pot life: 3-4 hours at 20ºC.
» Dry to touch: 1-2 hours at 20ºC.
» Dry to recoat: 12-24 hours at 20ºC.
» Lower temperatures and higher humidity will affect the final cure of the coating.
» Do not apply at temperatures below 10ºC and above 35ºC as well as at relative humidity (RH) levels above 65%.
» The product can be stored when kept unopened in its original container between 5ºC and 35ºC
