Polyurethane adhesive low expansion gun foam
KRAFT GLUE FOAM 52 is self-expanding, one–component, ready to use polyurethane foam for professional use. It is fitted with a plastic adaptor head for use with a foam applicator gun. It has a minimal expansion after application and is easy to use. Attributes excellent adhesive qualities in almost any material. It is particularly suitable for bonding on thermos-insulation polystyrene boards as is solvent free.
Uses: fixing and sealing thermo-insulation polystyrene boards (EPS and XPS) on walls.
» Low post-expansion
» Excellent adhesion on most substrates
» High thermal and sound insulation
» Excellent stability
» User and environment-friendly
INSTRUCTIONS OF USE
The canisters should be left in room conditions for 12 hours at least before use. Shake the canister for 15 seconds before use.
» Moistening of the surfaces and the uncured foam with a water sprayer improves adhesion and curing speed. The substrate should be clean and free of dust. Fit the gun on the adapter. Hold the canister upside-down and extrude the foam by pressing the valve.
» The glue is applied first around the edges of the plate (more specifically 5cm inside the edges), in 10-12mm stripes. Then more glue is applied inside the perimeter of the plate in diagonal stripes of W letter formation. The foam glue is applied together with appropriate insulation fixings which are necessary for supporting the plates until the foam glue cures. The joints between the insulation plates are also sealed with the glue-foam in order to obtain an efficient wall insulation without thermal bridges.
» Repeat shaking regularly during application.
» Cleaning: Fresh foam can be removed directly with suit-able cleaner or acetone. After curing the surplus of the foam can only be removed mechanically. Proper cleaning of gun after each use guarantees its long life.
» Not recommended for application on Teflon, PP or silicones and for permanent immersion in water.
» Cured PU foam must be protected from UV radiation.
» Consumption: Each 830ml canister, can glue 11-13m2 of insulation boards.
» Store canisters upright at temperatures between 5ºC and 35ºC. Shelf life of at least 12 months.
» The canisters should not be exposed at temperatures higher than 50ºC.
