Granulated adhesion primer for finishing renders
ClimaTop® Primer is an organic water-based primer, with small granules, ready to use, which creates a slightly rough surface enhancing the adhesion, filling and homogenization of the substrate, followed by the application of various types of finishing renders in pasty form such as ClimaTop® finishing renders by BIOCLIMA®. It participates as undercoaat (primer) to the certified external thermal insulation system CLIMAWALL® by BIOCLIMA® according to EAD 040083-00-0404.
» Easy application.
» Excellent spreading rate.
» Excellent adhesion and coverage.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
1. SUBSTRATE – PREPARATION:
» To ensure better adhesion the surface is required to be dry, clean and free from dust, oils, salts, rust, loose paints and residues, swollen paints, etc.
» Before application, remove any moss, fungi and algae by mechanical abrasion, wash with soapy water and let the substrate to dry.
No need to dilute the product. It is recommended that the product be stirred slightly before use and during application with a low speed mechanical drill. This ensures the even distribution of the small granules of the product.
» ClimaTop® Primer is applied in one layer using a roller or brush and allowed to dry for at least 4 hours before applying the finishing render.
4. CLEANING OF TOOLS:
» Immediately after the application the tools must be cleaned with warm water and soap or a detergent solution.
» Remove as much material as possible from tools before cleaning.
» Tint ClimaTop® Primer in the shade of the finishing render.
» Stir the product before use and at regular intervals during application with a mechanical drill.
» Do not apply at temperatures below 5°C and above 35°C as well as at humidity levels above 65%.
» Usage in case of frost forecast for at least the next 24 hours after application is not recommended.
» Do not apply in case of impending rain or in direct intense sunlight and wind currents.
» Surfaces must be protected from the sun, wind and rain with special protective covers.
» Complete drying time 24 hours at a temperature of 25 °C and relative humidity 50%.
» Surface drying time 4 hours at 25 °C and relative humidity 50%.
SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION
» To ensure proper adhesion and adequate substrate penetration, the surface must be dry, clean and free of dust, oil, salt, rust, loose paint and residues, blistered paint etc. Remove all moss, fungi and algae by mechanical abrasion and wash with soapy water and allow the substrate to dry.
» Use KRAFT PUTTY or other suitable repairing material of KRAFT to fill gaps, cracks and other damaged surfaces.
» It is recommended that fresh concrete, stucco, plaster and gypsum surfaces are allowed to dry for at least 4 weeks
before the application of PLASTER PRIMER.
» CLIMATotal®: Apply PLASTER PRIMER after STRONG BOND.
Let it dry for 4-8 hours before apply the final decorative plaster.
» Suitable on: Reinforcement layers of thermal insulating composite system, lime and cement plasters, concrete, lime/gypsum plasters, mineral, silicate and water-base coats and plasters with good adherence properties, sandwich type plaster boards.
» Not suitable on: fresh lime finishes, plastics, varnish and oil film, distemper. May use BONDING PRIMER.
» Tools: Brush or roller.
» Thinning: The tools and spillages may be cleaned immediately with soapy water.
» Cleaning: The tools and spillages may be cleaned immediately with soapy water.
» Surface drying time: 4 hours, conditions temperature 25ºC and 50% relative humidity.
» Minimum time required for appliance of final plaster: 4 hours.
» Drying time: 24 hours, conditions temperature 25ºC and 50% relative humidity.
» The air, material and base temperature during processing and binding must exceed 5ºC. Protect facades against direct solar irradiation, rain or strong wind (for instance with scaffolding netting). High relative humidity and low temperatures can prolong the drying time considerably and cause the color to vary.
PACKAGING - SHADES
